Out of Tune 03:24
1. Out of Tune (Dave Sills) © 2019 I’m tired of my life being out of tune I’d sit under stars and sing for the moon Don’t know where I’m going Just don’t tell me to stay I’ve got it in my head I’m gonna play guitar Gonna leave this house and head for a bar Been scared so long but Now I think I know the way Fingers aching I’ll be making music with my friends New world man takin’ a stand on the road again I’m tired of my life being out of tune I’d sit under stars and sing for the moon Don’t know where I’m going Just don’t tell me to stay I’ve got it in my head I’m gonna play guitar Gonna leave this town and live out of my car Been scared so long but Now I think I know the way

2. The Road I’ve Known (Dave Sills) © 2019 There's a road that I've known, that I've gone down too many times And it's the road that I've known that I'm goin' down Oh the road that I've known, it ain’t got no painted lines But it's the road that I've known that I'm goin' down Never gonna say that I'm never gonna fall again I could throw it all away and I'd never ever get it back again Gotta find a way, gonna get away, gotta get home... Yeah the road that I've known, a gravel run through the dark pines And it's the road that I've known that I'm goin' down There's a road that I've known, that I've gone down too many times But it's the road that I've known that I'm goin' down

3. Lament for New Orleans (Mike and Dave Sills) © 2019 There’s something about the end of summer Warm waters rule the day And storms are born by name and number Disaster’s surely on its way Dark black clouds surround the city Winds they turn her bright to grey Pontchartrain and Mississippi Dikes can’t hold the surge at bay You’d better get high, the water’s rising Ten feet now, it’s not surprising Nowhere to go, everybody’s crying The blues are back, the jazzman’s sighing Remember the day the Big Easy blew away She’s come too far as a city To have her soul washed away But songs that sound so picture pretty Give way to wails of death today Oh you’d better get high, the water’s rising Twelve feet now, it’s not surprising Nowhere to go, everybody’s crying The blues are back, the jazzman’s sighing Remember the day the Big Easy blew away

Coldwell Bay 04:25
5. Coldwell Bay (Dave Sills) © 2019 Train pulled in for water and some Nicoll Brothers trout Hauled up past the ice house while the nets were drying out Gid and Eileen Nicoll had the biggest house around On the rocky north shore of Superior, in this lonely fishin’ town Well Gideon played the fiddle, Eileen she played guitar For miners, teacher, loggers, preacher, and the Mountie from afar And ol’ one-armed Bert, the CPR clerk, and the painters from down south They waltzed while the scent of Eileen’s flowers drifted all around the house Lake was cold, life was hard But they danced the dark away Saturdays at the Nicoll place In a town on Coldwell Bay The lamprey came, stole all the fish, shut the business down Gid and Eileen, they met their fate on the tracks at the edge of town Government men, they razed it all, gone without a trace But every spring Eileen’s flowers bloom all ‘round the old Nicoll place

7. Had a Little Heaven (Dave Sills) © 2019 Had a little heaven on Sunday morning Had a little heaven the bells they rang Had a little heaven on Sunday morning Had a little heaven the choirs they sang Had a little heaven on Sunday morning Had a little heaven was on my knees Had a little heaven on Sunday morning Had a little heaven well glory be! Had a little heaven on Sunday morning Had a little heaven the angels spoke Had a little heaven on Sunday morning Had a little heaven my soul awoke Calling All Angels to the Temple ‘Cause Love’s the Higher Law Love is Everything

8. In My Arms Again (Dave Sills) © 2019 It’s been so long since I’ve seen your face Seems like a thousand years But I know someday I’ll find a way I’ll be holding you in my arms again It’s been so long since I’ve held you close Seems like no end of tears But I know someday I’ll find a way I’ll be holding you in my arms again Fate left me standing here all alone You kept me warm now you’re gone I miss all your love, I wish I could say I’d be coming home to you Fate left me stranded here all alone You kept me warm now you’re gone I miss all your love, I wish I could say I’d be coming home to you It’s been so long since I’ve seen your face Seems like a thousand years But I know someday I’ll find a way I’ll be holding you in my arms again

9. A Different Kind of Sun (Dave Sills) © 2019 Hey you, you’ve got a lot of nerve They crowned you king when a cage is all you deserve Yeah you, it’s like some disease You’re rulin’ with fear and hope is down on her knees Well I’ll tell you something There’s a new day dawning Look out ‘cause it’s rising It’s a different kind of Sun The one that we’ve been waiting on And we’re headin’ for new birth Rising up from the Earth It’s a different kind of Sun That’ll shine down on everyone Hey you, you’ve got a lot of nerve You’ve been pissing in the beer of those that you’re supposed to serve Yeah you, it’s like some disease You’re looking for a forest by cuttin’ down every tree Well I’ll tell you something There’s a new army marching It’s on the horizon It’s a different kind of Sun The one that we’ve been waiting on Might not be the cure But one thing’s for sure It’s a different kind of Sun That’ll shine down on everyone It’s a different kind of Sun The one that we’ve been waiting on And we’re headin’ for new birth Every soul on the Earth Sees a different kind of Sun That’ll shine down on everyone
